Engagement vs Coupon Campaigns:

Text Marketing is broken into two different types of campaigns: Engagement vs Coupon Campaigns:

Engagement

An Engagement campaign does not directly link to any promotional offer from HungerRush HUB, instead it allows for custom, open-ended text to be added into the SMS draft and scheduled.

Examples

“Come join us on Wednesdays for trivia night”

“Due to the incoming weather, we will be closed this coming Friday”

“For the month of January, we will have $3 Cheesy Bread”

Coupon

A Coupon campaign is established directly from the “Coupon” section of HUB and automatically applied the coupon parameters into the SMS.

Examples

“Customer Appreciation week, enjoy 10% off exp 3/31”

“Looking for a quick dinner? Here is a discount on us! 15% off Exp 3/31”

"Want to make your family 'slice' of life a little more impressive? Order pizza!" 20% off Exp 3/31”

Why it Matters

These campaign types serve distinct purposes.

  • Engagement campaigns let you maintain customer connection without always relying on discounts—great for reinforcing brand loyalty, promoting events, or managing expectations (e.g., closures).

Engagement Campaigns will not be presented inside the performance pages at the moment because our system is unable to track order tied directly to the marketing efforts.

  • Coupon campaigns are conversion tools. They provide measurable ROI through redemption tracking and can help fill slow days or promote new items with limited-time incentives.

All coupon campaigns will be presented inside the performance pages.
