Report Purpose:
The Sales By Channel Report organizes sales based on the channels through which orders are received (e.g., POS, DoorDash, UberEats). It allows operators to evaluate the performance of third-party platforms versus in-store transactions, measure guest traffic, and monitor profitability by channel.

Metric Definitions:
Channel = The source or platform through which the order was placed (e.g., POS, DoorDash, UberEats).
Tax Net = Sales totals subject to tax, excluding the tax amount.
Non-Tax Net = Sales totals that are exempt from tax.
Net Sales = Combined taxable and non-taxable sales, excluding tax.
Tax = The total sales tax applied to transactions in the channel.
Gross Sales = Net sales plus tax before adjustments.
Adjustments & Coupons = Discounts, coupons, or manual adjustments applied to sales.
Total Sales = Gross sales after adjustments and coupons are subtracted.
Order Count = The total number of orders processed through the channel.
Guest Cnt = The number of guests served through the channel.
PPA = Per person average; net sales divided by guest count.
