Report Purpose:
The Sales By Order Type Report breaks down sales performance based on how orders are placed and fulfilled (e.g., pickup, delivery, online)–based on how order types established for the selected stores. It helps operators analyze revenue distribution, guest traffic, and profitability across different ordering channels, while also providing insight into average spend per guest.

Metric Definitions:
Order Type = The method by which the order was placed or fulfilled (e.g., Walk In, Delivery, Web Pick Up).
Tax Net = Sales totals subject to tax, excluding tax amounts.
Non-Tax Net = Sales totals that are non-taxable.
Net Sales = Combined taxable and non-taxable sales, excluding tax.
Tax = The total sales tax applied to the order type.
Gross Sales = Net sales plus tax before adjustments.
Adjustments & Coupons = Discounts, coupons, or adjustments applied to sales.
Total Sales = Gross sales after accounting for adjustments and coupons.
Order Count = The number of transactions processed for the order type.
Net Sales % = The percentage of total net sales contributed by the order type.
Guest Cnt = The total number of guests served for that order type.
PPA = Per person average; net sales divided by guest count.
