Report Purpose:

The Scheduled vs. Actual Time Report compares the hours and labor costs employees were scheduled to work against the hours they actually worked. It highlights differences in labor allocation, cost variances, and efficiency. This helps managers control labor costs, identify scheduling issues, and ensure staffing matches business demand.

Metric Definitions:

Employee Name = The name of the employee whose hours are being reported.

Scheduled Hours = The total number of hours the employee was scheduled to work.

Actual Hours = The total number of hours the employee actually worked.

Differences = The difference between scheduled hours and actual hours (Actual – Scheduled).

Variance % = The percentage difference between scheduled and actual hours.

Scheduled Cost = The estimated labor cost based on scheduled hours.

Actual Cost = The actual labor cost incurred based on actual hours worked.

Differences Cost = The difference between scheduled cost and actual cost.

Variance % (Cost) = The percentage difference between scheduled labor cost and actual labor cost.
