Use the Items section to add and manage food items and dishes on your menu. The Items section includes several pages to further customize items on a menu:

Adding an Item
Use the Items Summary page in menu manager to set up items on a menu. Follow the steps below to add a new item on the Items Summary page.
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Go to the Items > Items Summary page.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Click Add Item. The Add Size Pop-up displays.
From the Add Item pop-up, use the Available Items dropdown to select an existing item. The configurations below Available Items will be automatically populated.
To create a new Item, enter the Item Name and select the appropriate checkboxes.
Click Save when finished. The new item displays on the Item Summary table.
Editing an Item
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Go to the Items > Items Summary page.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Click the pencil icon next to the menu item you want to edit. The Edit Item pop-up displays.
You can use our AI-powered description generator to polish the Online Description for the item.
Click Update Item when finished.
Deleting an Item
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Go to the Items > Items Summary page.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Click the trash icon next to the menu item you want to delete.
Click Confirm to delete.
Adding a New Modifier Category for Required Modifiers
Prerequisites:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
In the Group > Configuration page, enable Allow Required Modifiers
In Edit Item pop-up, enable Required Modifiers.
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Go to the Items > Required Modifiers page.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Click to expand the Item to display all the modifiers.
Click the checkbox to activate the required modifier. Then enter the minimum and maximum number of required modifiers.
Click Save when finished.
Changing Item Sequence
Use the Items section in menu manager to add or edit items on a menu. Follow the steps below to edit the Kitchen Print Sequence and Online Visual Sequence.
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Go to the Items > Required Modifiers page.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Under Item Sequence, drag and drop to change the Item’s Kitchen Print Sequence and Online Visual Sequence.
Note: Kitchen Name is displayed in the Kitchen Print Sequence table, and Online Name is shown in the Online Visual Sequence table.
Changing Size Exclusions
The Size Exclusions tab in Styles gives you the ability to remove (exclude) sizes from a menu item. Follow the steps below to display or remove the sizes of specific menu items.
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Click the Items > Size Exclusions page to display the Item's Size Exclusions screen.
From the Size Exclusions screen, use the Group dropdown to select the menu group. The Size Exclusions grid displays with Item Names.
Next to the appropriate Item Name, select the checkboxes of menu sizes that you do not want displayed on a menu.
Click Save when finished.
Exclude Item from Stores
Use the Excluded Stores page in menu manager to exclude an item from specific stores when these stores don’t offer it. Follow the steps below to exclude the item from select stores.
Steps:
From RM, click Manage > Menu Manager > Enter the Menu Editor.
Click the Items > Excluded Stores page to display the Item’s Excluded Stores screen.
From the screen, use the Group dropdown to select the group to edit.
Select the item by clicking the down arrow to expand it.
Once you have selected the item to exclude, the store list will be expanded, showing the stores that carry that item. To remove it from a store, click the box to red cross it.
Click Save Updates when finished.
A Confirmation message displays.
