Step by Step Instructions
To edit what items show on your order display, we will need to first log into the POS.
Select Config.
Then select printers.
Then select kitchen printers.
NOTE* ON THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE YOU WILL CREATE PRINT CATEGORIES, THIS IS WHAT THE KDS ALSO USES TO DISPLAY ITEMS
Then assign these categories to your items in the menu .
After you have assigned print categories to the items on the menu, go back and click config.
Then click kitchen display.
Click new order display if you do not have one already created, if you do then select the display listed and click edit.
That will bring up edit mode for the KDS.
Select which station is your order display, by selecting from the drop-down menu.
Currently what it displays is blank.
These fields are where your display categories that you created in steps 5-6 goes .
Select your categories you wanted displayed and click the arrow pointing to the right. At any time, you can edit these settings again.
Note* be sure to relaunch point of sale software after configuring the display.
You can also set the display to show by order types as well.
Enable filter by order type.
Then click show order types to changes what’s displayed above.
If you have it filtered it will only show the categories for the selected order types.
You can switch between order types and categories to see what’s selected by clicking this.
Save your changes and now you have configured what items show on your kitchen display.
