When you click Edit Group it will bring you to the following screen.

menu_edit_general_4.png

Here you have the options of:

a.       Menu – This will allow you to make changes that will affect the entire menu.

i.      For Example – Setting up Item Countdown, Allowing Time Pricing, Rename the menu and more

b.       Group – This will allow you to make changes that will affect this specific group

c.       Sizes – This lets you create and set sizes for the group if applicable

              i.      For Example – Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, etc.

d.       Items – This is where you will most likely be making your changes. (See above image)

              i.      The Alphabetize button Will rearrange the buttons in alphabetical order.

e.       Styles – This is where you will choose and select your styles

              i.      For Example – Pizza styles, Detroit, Deep Dish, Chicago, etc.

f.        Modifiers – This is where you will create and set prices for your toppings, add-ons, etc.

g.       Preselected Modifiers – This is where you’ll adjust what modifiers are Preselected, meaning they come on the item in question. You selected the item and then you can select the modifiers that are preselected.

h.       Preferences – This is where you will set you preferences. When you select an item, a preference forces you to pick an add on of some sort by bringing up choices after selecting the item. You can have both Individual item preferences and Group preferences.

Items – This is where you will create and add items to your menu.

menu_edit_general_5.png

To create an item, you type the name of the item in the New Itembox. After you have named the item, you can click the add button. The item is now in the Available Items box. To place the item on the menu, you select it and then touch/click an empty box/button. The item will now be on the menu and available for selection.

After you’ve placed your new item on the menu, you still need to do a few more things. You still need to decide:

a.       How much is the item?

b.       What report group will it be in?

c.       What Tax Type will it use?

d.       What Kitchen print category will it use?

e.       Does it need to show modifiers?

f.        Does it have a modifier value?

g.       Is it an Open Price item?

h.       Is it going to be available online?

Modifiers – Modifiers are a lot like items. You still must set the Price, Report Group, Tax Type, etc. Here you have what’s known as a Modifier Category, this is just where the modifier reports to, be it Veggies, Meats or any other mod category that you have.

menu_edit_general_7.png

a.       Exclude Modifiers by Item – This lets you decide if you want to exclude modifiers for certain items. For example, if you didn’t want to allow Onions on a Sandwich you would select the sandwich and then select the item and it will not be an option to select.

menu_edit_general_8.png

Preselected Modifiers – As mentioned a little earlier in this guide this is where you’ll adjust what modifiers are Preselected, meaning they come on the item in question. You selected the item and then you can select the modifiers that are preselected.

a.       No Substitution Credit - If checked this will not allow one modifier to be subbed for another without charging. Instead, it will just remove the mod that the customer does not want and will charge for the mod they do want.

i.      For Example – In the image below. With the Hawaiian Pizza that is selected right now, if the customer does not want Canadian Bacon but instead wants Breakfast Bacon you would unselect the Canadian Bacon when ordering and Select the Breakfast Bacon and it will charge for the Breakfast Bacon

Preferences – Preferences are single selection options associated with specific items within a group. (Image below)

a.       Group Preferences – Linked to the ENTIRE GROUP. All items in the group will be prompted with the preference request.

b.       Item Preferences – Preferences assigned to the selected menu item. The up and down arrows determine the order in which the preferences will appear

c.       Members – The members assigned to the preference. To edit these hit the Edit Members button menu_edit_general_10.png
