Step by Step Instructions

This section of the menu edit will go over the Menu Tab in the menu editor.

To get to the menu you editor you click on Order.

Click on Edit menu.

Click Edit menu.

Right click on the group you want to work on and click edit group.

You will come to the Group Tab which is shown below.

On this page there a few options which we will go over each of them.

a.       New Group- This will allow you to enter the name of a new group if you are just creating one. If you try and create a group that already exists it will tell you that it already exists.

                        i.      To create a new group simply type in the group name and click add.

b.       Available groups- This will be the groups that you have created but are not currently being used by the menu.

                     i.      To use a group that is already available click on the group to highlight it.

                    ii.      Select the add button

c.       You have a whole box that has multiple different sections this section will show you the details of the group you currently have selected.

                  i.      Group Name- This name is what the group will appear as in the database and on the reports.

                ii.      Button Name- this will be what the button says in your menu.

                iii.      Style Label-

               iv.      Roll up price- This allows you to have the price of all modifiers or preferences be added to the price of the original item and not show the cost on a separate line.

             v.      Allow Required Modifiers- This allows you to have the modifiers that must be selected for the order to proceed.

1.When you check this box, a new line will pop up.

2. Allow Max Required Modifiers- This will allow you to set a limit on how many required modifiers that can be selected for all the items in the group.

vi.      Standard Modifier Pricing- This will allow you to charge a certain amount per modifier based on the number of modifiers.

1.When you check this box, a new button will appear asking you to Set Std Mod Prices.

2.When you click on this it will bring up a new screen and you can set the price of the modifiers based upon the number of modifiers. The limit to the number of modifiers in the system is 15.

vii.      Allow Half/Half- if this value is selected you would be able to select what you want each half of the item to be. For example, if I ordered a pizza and I wanted half to be pepperoni and the other half to be sausage then this button would have to be check in order for that item to be able to split the pizza that way.

 viii.      Allow second Item Pricing- This would enable you to have 2 of the same items where the first one cos t more than the second one.

1.When you select this a new box will appear in the lower left-hand corner.

2.Validate By Size- This is used when the price only applies to the second item if it’s the same size.

3.Include Modifiers- This allows you to create a second item modifier price.

4.Include Style Surcharge- This will allow you to charge for the style surcharge on the second item.

5.Reprice 3rd Item- This will give the 3rd item the same price as the second item

         ix.      Auto Quantity Pricing-

x.      Image- This will allow you to put an image for the Group button. This will populate the button with the 3 dots in it to allow you to select the image you want to use for the group.

              xi.      Only- This will make it so that only the image shows up for the selected group.

xii.      Sugg- This will allow you to enter a note that will show when the customer orders anything from this group.

xiii.      Prep- This will allow you to enter select prep predefined preparation notes for the group. For example, if I have group for steaks I could put in the different levels of cook for that like Rare, Medium rare, Medium, Medium well, Well, and extra well.

 xiv.      Price by Weight- This will allow you to have the price be by the weight of the item. For example if apples are $1.32 per pound and I have 2 pounds of apples when I weigh them then I would be charged $2.64 for those apples.***This Requires you to have a scale set up***

 xv.      Price by duration- This allows you to set the price to be done base upon how long the item is in use. This would be used when you have multiple pool tables, and you want to rent one out for 3 hours. You would be charged for the 3 hours you used the table.

xvi.      Allow Time Pricing- This must be selected for the group to be included in time pricing. To set up time pricing see the time pricing guide.

xvii.      Use Order Type Pricing- This will allow you to set the price of the items base upon the order type the customer is using.

xviii.      Description as Recipe- This will take the description that you enter for an item and make it the recipe for that item.

xix.      Use Tiered Pricing- This allows you to set up the price of an item base upon how many of that item are ordered.

xx.      Item Btn Text Size- This will allow you to change the size of the text for the item buttons.

d.       The default values are the values that will give you your menu category, Report Group, Tax Type, and kitchen print category.

                i.      You can select any of these items by clicking on the drop-down menu.

 

e.       You have a list of different modifications that can be made to the items in the group.

i.      This is a list telling you what you currently can do to these items and what the items in the group have on them.

f.       Finally, you have a list of the current groups these groups are the ones that are currently being used in the menu.
