Step by Step Instructions
Menu Points allow you to set up an automated point system so your customer can earn points for the items they purchase and then redeem those earned points for free product.
The Points can either be assigned by the entire Menu Group and/or by a specific Menu Item.
A Points Price is then assigned to the Items or Group of Items available to redeem for points earned.
For example, let’s say you buy five 10-Inch Pizza and get the sixth 10-Inch Pizza for free.
Here’s how to enable that feature:
Go to Orders> Edit Menu> Edit Menu
Right click any Menu Group that you have and select “Edit Group”
From there go to the Menu tab.
On the Menu Tab, locate “Allow Points”
After enabling “Allow Points”, the “Points” tab should be able to be selected. This Tab is located in the top right of the screen.
There are 2 different Menu Points settings that can be applied either or both.
Points by Group
“By Group” applies to all Items within the group and can be customized per size
The “Size” parameter is used if the Points Earned and Points Price differ by Size
The “Points Earned” is the point amount the customer earns for purchasing the Item or Items within the Group
The “Points Price” is the amount of reward points required to purchase the Item.
You can review your Menu Points system for the Group and determine if it needs any changes before saving
In this example: Anytime a 10in Pizza is ordered, 5 points will accumulate per pizza and when 30 points is reached (6 Pizzas) the customer has the option to get a free 10in pizza the next time they buy a pizza.
When you are ready to apply the Menu Points Rule for the Group, select “Apply”
Points by Item
If the “By Item” option is used, the Points Earned and Points Price will need to be set for each Item. Use the drop down box to select the Item from the Group
