Step by Step Instructions
Custom Group Sequences allows you to have certain Menu Groups available only at certain times. If you want to have a lunch menu and a dinner menu but different groups are available for both then you would use this to have the categories show during the correct times.
Go to orders.
Click on edit menu.
Click on Edit Menu again on the pop up.
Right click on the group you wish to edit.
Click Edit Group.
Click on Menu on the Top bar.
Select Allow Custom Group Sequence.
Click the finish button.
Right click on the group.
*** If you right click on an empty space near the groups and select Custom Group Sequence then it will bring up a tiered pricing page. Just exit out of this to get to the Custom Group Sequence page.***
Select custom group Sequence.
This will bring you to a new screen where you can manage your Custom Group Sequences.
To add a new sequence, type the name of it in the New Sequence Name box and click add.
Once you do that it will now show your Sequence as selected in the drop-down box.
Now you would select the Menu groups that you want to show when this sequence is active and click add.
Once you have all the Groups you want to show selected click the save changes button.
Once you do the sequence will now show in the box on the lower left-hand side.
You can now add a time by clicking on the Group Sequence Times button.
A new screen will appear when this is clicked.
Click on Add New and a new screen will appear that has the days of the week as well as what labor types this applies to and the times that you want this to appear.
Select the days you want to have this group sequence apply. For example, this is a Sunday brunch menu, so I would select Sunday and set the times from 9am to 2pm.
Now you would need to select the Group Sequence Time Name and make sure that it is applying to the correct Group Sequence.
You can set the group sequence to apply to certain labor types by selecting the box next to the Select Labor Types Only.
Please note that if this is not checked then the change will affect all Employees not just one or more labor type.
Once you check this box you will need to select which labor types you want the menu change to take affect on, then click Add.
The Active? Box means that the group sequence will start immediately or is going to take effect on the given date or time.
Once you have the date, Time, and Labor types set up the way that you want it to be click the Save Time button
The group sequence time will now show in the table previously that was blank.
Click the Return to Group Sequences then click Exit.
Click exit edit and click save on the order screen
The Custom Group Sequence will now Apply on the selected date and time to the selected groups.
